Fox is airing an NFL preseason game at 8:00 Eastern, 5:00 Pacific; the episode will air before the game in the Eastern and Central time zones, and 30 minutes after the game in the Mountain and Pacific time zones

Lisa befriends three Wiccans who are arrested and accused of witchcraft when half of Springfield goes blind; Cletus introduces Homer to the world of moonshiners

While researching the family tree to find just one Simpson who wasn't a total boob or a criminal, Lisa uncovers the diary of Abigail Simpson, a young girl in 1860 who tried to help a slave escape, but Milhouse has information that sheds a different light on the situation

8:00 • Stealing First Base (MABF07)

Bart has to share a desk with a girl from the other fourth grade class, who sends him mixed signals; Lisa gets advice on how to handle being an overachiever - from Michelle Obama

September 12 • American History X-cellent (MABF08)

Mr. Burns is arrested when stolen paintings are found inside Burns Manor, so Smithers takes over for him at the plant, but he becomes such a slave driver that the workers try to get Burns back...by breaking him out of prison Guess what? It's NFL season, and 9/12 is a Fox national doubleheader day, so there is a (small) chance this episode may start late in the Eastern and Central Time Zones (there are three games on Fox starting at 4:15 Eastern) (note that Fox has decided to let its stations in the Mountain and Pacific time zones air their own programming in the 7-8 Pacific / 6-7 Mountain hour on Fox NFL doubleheader days)

Twentieth Television, the United States syndication distributor of The Simpsons, terminated its "barter" scheduling of the series in 1999. Accordingly, stations showing the series in syndication now possess full control over local scheduling, making national listings a thing of the past. Regrettably, we cannot provide listings for the hundreds of stations now independently programming the syndicated airings in their local markets. Fans should instead refer to online television listings services such as Zap2it, Yahoo or TV Guide for local information.
