Maintained by Wesley Mead |
This page, usually updated fortnightly, provides complete scheduling information for "The Simpsons" in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Schedules are available for Channel 4, S4C, Sky 1 and RTÉ airings. All times are GMT, and all scheduled slot times last 30 minutes. All episodes are subtitled for the hearing impaired. If you would like television listings for other countries please click here, where you can get schedules for many countries around the world, including Germany and Australia. Welcome to the November 16th update (yeah, two weeks this time). This week, you will find the latest updates to Sky 1's November and December schedules, as well as fully updated listings for C4, S4C and RTÉ2. Next update will be in two weeks. |
Channel 4: Schedule Status 16th November to 12th December 2008 |
C4 are currently airing S9 in the 6pm weekdays slot. Season 15 appears to follow, following two days (8-9 December) where there are no episodic details available, though whether they'll make it all the way through the season this time I just don't know. Channel 4's first run of S10 is also now airing in double-bills on Sunday afternoon, but S15 remains off the schedules.. Episodes that air on Channel 4 can be viewed one hour later on their timeshift service, Channel 4 +1. |

S4C: Complete Listings 16th to 30th November 2008 |
S4C (the Welsh equivalent of C4) are currently airing S10 for the first time, in double bills on Sunday mornings. Saturday morning triple-bills of season 9 begin next week, too. |
For more information on the episodes, see the Episode Guide.
RTÉ2: Complete Listings 16th to 30th November 2008 |
RTÉ2 are currently airing episodes at 6pm most weekdays, the 5:05pm slot now dropped. While there are still no episode details currently available at Radio Times, Alan Tarpey has e-mailed me to let me know that they're currently airing season 16 - yep, they're over a season ahead of C4 now - every weeknight at the moment. Thanks Alan! If anyone can point me towards a more reliable source of schedules for RTÉ than Radio Times (or even if you just get an Irish listings mag from which you could pass on episode details), please e-mail me. |
For more information on the episodes, see the Episode Guide.

Sky 1 (as well as Sky 2, Sky 3 and various others) is now back on Virgin Media, the carriage dispute resolved - finally! - after 18 months of negotiations. (Thanks to Jack Woodman for making sure I was aware!) Sky 1 schedules are now available up to the end of December - Sky like to confirm their Christmas output early, though I must admit even I was surprised that almost every episode detail is already available. Naturally, the Christmastime schedules in particular are subject to change.. don't go planning your holiday around OFF for a couple of weeks yet. Preliminary January timeslots should be available next update. New Episodes: Six are currently planned, for almost every Sunday in November and December, concluding S19 and kicking off S20:
Events & Miscellany:
Premieres are highlighted and in bold; season 19 and season 20 repeats/Encore slots are in bold, dark-red (under December 31; from January 1, only season 20 repeats will be highlighted). |

Additional Notes and Latest UK DVDs Updated 16th November 2008 |
Mailing list: I'm hoping to get the mailing list back up again sometime soon.. I know, I keep procrastinating on this, but it will happen! Probably. It'll be a copy of each update sent to your e-mail address, plus (perhaps) additional reminders of new episodes on the day they air. If you're interested, e-mail me letting me know.
Latest UK DVDs: Season 11 of The Simpsons is now available in the UK, in both standard packaging and a Limited Edition Krusty Head. They're currently each GBP 26.98. Check out my review at the news page. Also buy the third Futurama DVD movie, Bender's Game, while you're at it: Blu-Ray (GBP 17.99), DVD (GBP 12.98).
Credit where credit's due: Many thanks to David McCormick, creator of this page and original maintainer; Brian Petersen and Adam Wolf, designers; and Robert Burroughs and Matthew Johnson for helping out lots with episode details, bugs on the page and the like - much appreciated! Also, thanks to those of you who write in informing me of corrections and the latest responses to queries from Channel 4 and Sky - what would I do without you? And finally, thanks to the members of the No Homers Club who regularly contribute to the UK scheduling discussing thread, which is very closely linked with this page (I post as Wezzo there).
Tip: if you're searching for when a specific episode is scheduled, find its production code from this list, return to this page, press Ctrl+F, enter the production code and click find. The next scheduled listing for the episode will appear. If no results are returned, the episode is not currently scheduled.
Contact: Being completely accurate is great, but unfortunately, sometimes unattainable. Changes can occur that are beyond my control; if you spot any such late amendments, note any errors, or have any suggestions or queries regarding the listings, please contact me - details here, e-mail is your best bet for a speedy answer.
Syndication of listings: If you wish to use these listings on your site (with credit, please!), drop me a line.
